Dressed to Win
Go Knicks!!!!
Before we get into the point I’m about to make, I feel the need to preface something…I am in no way, shape, or form a diehard basketball fan, or any type of sports fanatic for that matter. The extent of my athletic capabilities and curiosities starts with the marathon I ran in 2018, which I can weave into any topic of conversation, and ends with my tendency to dissociate to the fun fact that LeBron James spends one million dollars a year to stay in shape. Can you imagine?
I’m not sure if it’s my love of New York City and Yves Klein blue, or maybe I’m just a little bored and craving anything that doesn’t involve a screen. But somehow over the last few weeks I have become a Knicks fan. And I know that I’m not the only one. Over the past 72 hours I have received an influx of text messages from people who I am positive also have no idea what a double dribble is, asking if I’m getting tickets or if I want to watch the game. (My answers: a) I’d still pick Mallorca over MSG…sorry! Have you seen these prices?! b) Yes, but send me some recs.)
In all seriousness, my two favorite things in the world are camaraderie and anyone brave enough to punch above their weight. So of course I’m obsessed with this hero’s journey. I may be new to this arena, but dressing for the job you want applies to any and all scenarios. How you do one thing is how you do anything, right?
Here’s some looks to take you from your couch to courtside. Go Knicks!!!!
