Last Tuesday, Jeremy Allen White was crowned the new face of Louis Vuitton. In a matter of seconds, my Instagram and Substack feeds were flooded with The Bear himself, draped over a Louis Vuitton trunk, his signature cornflower blue eyes flawlessly contrasting a two-piece navy blue silk set. I can assure you that I am not the only person who wanted to rip the clothes off everyone's favorite TV chef upon seeing this campaign, but my reasoning is a bit more unique…he was wearing my dream outfit. A two-piece set in the perfect shade of midnight, exquisitely tailored, and absolutely unbothered. I'd unbutton the top just enough to show off a borderline obnoxious amount of jewelry hanging from my neck, douse myself in a tasteful amount of Do Son by Diptyque to whisper "she's arrived" before anyone can actually lay eyes on me

In all seriousness, I've always loved a matching set. Something easy you can throw on to wear to the office to dinner, swapping a Marni sandal for a YSL Biancas and adding just a touch of eyeliner in the bathroom at work before heading to your 7:30 PM reservation at Raf's. Not everyone's sartorial suit of armor, but definitely mine.
Taking a few cues from Jeremy Allen White and Carmy Berzatto, here are a few looks to get you from breakfast to after-hours espresso martinis and everything in between.

Breakfast
Wet hair, running late, who cares? She stops for an $8 croissant at Balthazar, considering this both a prescription and penance.

Lunch
Solo table outside at Via Carota, sky-high insalata verde, a few bites of cacio e pepe, the crispest glass of white wine she can't pronounce.

Aperitivo
Sardinia? Sicily? Her tickets are booked for August. Right now, she's just another girl in the West Village opening up her palate while waiting for a text back from I Sodi. It's kind of the best…

Dinner
The two furthest seats at the end of the bar at Estela: endive, beef tartare, foie gras, arroz negro, chocolate cake. If he asks why you're wearing pajamas, that's not your guy!

Midnight Snack
It's been a long day—nothing an espresso martini and chocolate mousse at Buvette can't fix. She eats fast, he tips well. Fighting the urge to have a cigarette on the walk home, they both crumble just as 7th Ave turns into Varick Street. Do the rules even apply when it's past your bedtime?
Matching sets are on my mind, too! I love your picks - very chic!!
god this is good
